Please volunteer in the club's information booth at the 2019 Topsfield Fair!

Each year, volunteers from the Hamilton-Wenham Rod and Gun Club provide information about the club to many Topsfield Fair visitors. This exposure helps us get the word out about who we are which in turn, helps us maintain and build our membership levels. There is no special training required to staff the booth, however, Topsfield Fair volunteers should be familiar with the club's range facilities, i.e. Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Archery and Fishing, and should also be able to describe when and where the monthly membership meetings are held.
Note that descriptions of our facilities, range and membership meeting locations, and the cost of joining the club can all be found on this website (www.hwrg.org).

FAQs (Some important questions and answers for volunteers):

1) Where is the club's booth?
The club's booth is located in the Topsfield Fair's Sportsmen's Building, which is located close to the Fair's main gate on Route 1.

2) Who is the HWRG coordinator for staffing of the club's booth?
The booth staffing coordinator this year is member Paul Rullo. (Paul's contact information is listed further down on this page.)

3) Is there free parking available for booth volunteers?
Yes, parking is free for anyone who volunteers. You must park in lot D on Central St. In the weeks leading up to the fair, the HWRG Staffing Coordinator will send you a wrist band (in the US Mail) for parking and admission for each day that you work in the booth.

4) Do volunteers pay an admission fee to get through the gates?
No, as stated above, you will be given a wrist band which will allow you free entry for that day. Note that the wrist band will most likely need to be surrendered to Topsfield Fair staff at the admissions gate (not the parking lot gate).

5) Do hours spent in the booth qualify for HWRG WIP hours?
Yes! After the 2019 Topsfield Fair concludes, the HWRG Fair Staffing Coordinator will report all booth staffing to the club Secretary who will make sure you get WIP credit for your time spent in the booth.

6) How do I sign up?
To sign up for one or more shifts, choose your shift times from the booth staffing schedule grid below and then click here to send an email to Paul Rullo, the HWRG Fair Staffing Coordinator. Email is the preferred way to contact Paul for booth scheduling, but you may also call Paul at 978-325-8279. Be prepared to give Paul your mailing address and a phone number where you can be reached.

7) What if I can't make a shift that I signed up for and need to cancel?
Please call Paul Rullo as soon as possible so that he can arrange substitute coverage. A no-show without notice will really ruffle the Club President's feathers!

Thank you for supporting your Rod and Gun Club!
